The YSI 9000 (see picture, top right) has only one button so it's easy to use. Simply add reagents to your sample, read your blank, insert the sample, and read the transmittance value from the digital display. Then convert this value to concentration using the supplied conversion chart. If you prefer a direct concentration reading and on-screen instructions, choose the YSI 9100 (see picture, bottom right). This microprocessor-controlled photometer has all available tests in its memory. Just prepare your blank and sample and follow the instructions on the display. The RS232 port allows you to send results to a printer or computer.
The portable-lab YSI 9100D includes everything you need for a
portable laboratory-- a microprocessor-controlled YSI 9100, plus a
carrying case, a dot matrix printer, a rechargeable battery pack, and a
