Features
Description
Light Sensor (Model 400) - Ergonomically designed angled sensor allows
simultaneous measurement and readout without interference from the operator. The
silicon photodiode with photopic and cosine correction assures precise
measurements.
Light Sensor (Model 400F) - The forward position of the light sensor which was
designed specifically for use in museums and art galleries, allows the user to
accurately measure the direct light falling down onto a painting or any other
works of art.
Display - Large, 10mm (3/8") LCD with units of measurement and low battery
indicator offers comfortable reading during measurement.
"ON" and "HOLD" button - Click to display reading. Hold to
"freeze" display. Auto power off.
Sliding Coverplate - Provides access to 9V battery and to the switch for
selecting the measuring units (fc or lux).
Calibration seal is affixed to every cal-LIGHT lightmeter after calibration to
assure authenticity and prevent unauthorized alterations.

Ordering Information
cal-LIGHT 400 or cal-LIGHT 400F, Calibrated Precision Lightmeters come complete
with instructions, battery, carrying case, and calibration certificate.
Calibration
Calibrations and recalibrations are performed by COOKE and are traceable to NIST
Standards. The spectral sensitivity of the calibrated detector matches the CIE
standard observer curve for a standard tungsten source at 2856K.

Calibration
Calibrations and recalibrations are performed by COOKE and are traceable to NIST
Standards. The photopic response of the calibrated sensor matches the CIE
standard observer curve response to within 1% of the reading when using a
standard tungsten source at 2856°K
